The Mares of Magic Meadows.

Here at Magic Meadows we have wonderful mares with great dispositions.  We breed for:

  • Mental Stability.
  • Confirmation.
  • Breed Improvement.
  • Color.
  • Health.

This is a list of the current mares here on the farm.

Miss Quick Copy (Cecily) .

This mare is Windy's all time favorite mare.  Cecily was chosen for her good looks and wonderful disposition.  She was very difficult to aquire and even more so to breed.  But, through an act of God and an exceptional Stallion (Lanesmighty Prince), she has given us a beautiful filly.   Cecily has won numerous events with my children and continues to win in her Golden years.  She loves small children and rides to protect them.  This mare can go from rodeo arena to babysitter with one flick of her tail.  She is an all around true blue American Quarter Horse.  She will be at the farm until she decides it is time to go to Rainbow Ridge.

Some Dancer

Grand Champions.

Here Morgan and "Savana" take first in the 2007 CFSC Halloween Show.
Some Dancer was chosen for her gentle disposition and good looks.  She is a racing bred American Quarter Horse.  She was raced as a youth and did well.  She was found to be sterile and went up for sale.  Lanesmighty Prince doesn't take sterile for an answer and she was bred within 3 months of aquiring him.  She has been bred twice now without incident and has had two very attractive colts thus far.

Winning again.

This mare adjusts to her riders ability.  She is fast and ready to go with Windy and slow and easy with small children.  She is a wonderful example of her breed.

2008 Show.

Magic Meadows Honey B

Honey B loves Morgan and Gabby immensly and protects them whenever they ride.  Pictured here Honey B is consoling Gabby after she had broken her collar bone from a couch dive that went awry.   Morgan and Honey B take Grand Champion very frequently when they show.  To view video of her winning Grand Champion with Morgan, click here.
This little filly is one of our New York Foundation Stock.
Honey B is a wonderful example of what Joan Pool was breeding for.
